Huge turnout of people for Arbaeen a manifestation of prominent features of the school of Prophet: Leader

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei says the mass march towards the Iraqi city of Karbala to mark Arba’een is a combination of belief and love, and one of the divine rituals.

Ayatollah Khamenei during his advanced jurisprudence course on Monday said that the huge turnout of people from around the world and Iran is a manifestation of the prominent features of the school of Prophet Mohammad (Blessings of God upon him and his progeny)’s Household.

Millions of Shia Muslims from across the globe are arriving in Karbala to mark Arba’een. It marks forty days after the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (Peace be upon him), the third Shia Imam.

The Imam and his companions were martyred on Ashura, the tenth day of the lunar month of Muharram in 680 AD. They were martyred in the battle of Karbala because they refused to pledge allegiance to the then tyrant ruler Yazid.

Zionist regime forces martyred another Palestinian in al-Quds

A Palestinian teenage boy has been martyred by Israeli regime forces in East al-Quds.

On Sunday, the Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed the death of 17-year old Ayman Abbasi during clashes with the Zionist soldiers.

In a statement, Zionist police said officers fired at a Palestinian, claiming he was holding a petrol bomb.

"About 10 petrol bombs were thrown at border police officers in Ras al-Amud," the statement said. "The force, whose lives were in immediate danger, fired at the lower body of a suspect who was seen with a petrol bomb in his hand... A hit could not be definitely identified."

Earlier in the day, Zionist regime forces martyred a Palestinian man in the occupied West Bank at the Damascus Gate, which is one of the main entrances to the Old City of the al-Quds.

Israeli police claimed the Palestinian was shot after he stabbed and moderately injured an Israeli policeman in East al-Quds.

More than 100 Palestinians have been martyred since early October after violence erupted in al-Quds due to Israeli regime incursions into the al-Aqsa Mosque.

ISIL made $800m from oil sales in Turkey: Iraqi MP

The ISIL Takfiri terrorists have made over $800 million dollars in black market oil sales in Turkey over the last eight months, says Iraqi MP.

“This is Iraqi oil and Syrian oil, carried by trucks from Iraq, from Syria through the borders to Turkey and sold ...[at] less than 50 percent of the international oil price,” said Mowaffak al-Rubaie in an interview with RT published on Sunday.

He noted that the oil is either “consumed inside” Turkey after being refined in Turkish facilities or is piped to the Mediterranean where it is sold on the international market.

“Money and dollars generated by selling Iraqi and Syrian oil on the Turkish black market is like the oxygen supply to Daesh and its operation,” he added. “Once you cut the oxygen then Daesh will suffocate.”

He went on to stress that there is “no shadow of a doubt” that the government in Ankara is aware of these smuggling operations.

“The merchants and the businessmen [are buying oil] in the black market in Turkey under the noses – under the auspices if you like – of the Turkish intelligence agency and the Turkish security apparatus,” he said.

The parliamentarian referred to information gathered by Iraqi intelligence services, which indicates that some Turkish security officers sympathize with the Takfiris.

Obama pays tribute to victims of Paris terrorist attacks

US President Barack Obama has paid tribute to the victims of the Paris terrorist attacks shortly after arriving in the French capital on Sunday.

Obama, who is in Paris for the United Nations Climate Change Conference on Monday, was joined at the site of the attack by the French President François Hollande and Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo, Press TV reported.

Obama placed a flower at the makeshift memorial and then stood silently, his head bowed and hands clasped in front of him.

A state of emergency has been in place in France ever since November 13, when a string of coordinated terrorist attacks killed some 130 people and injured 350 others in Paris.

The ISIL terrorist group, which controls swaths of land in Syria and Iraq, has claimed responsibility for the attacks.

France is part of a US-led coalition that has been bombing purported ISIL targets in Syria and Iraq for over a year, but the air campaign has been largely ineffective.

France has intensified its attacks against the alleged positions of ISIL in Syria and Iraq following the Paris attacks, which were the deadliest assault on French soil since World War ll.

Polish Muslims hold protest against terrorism, racism

A demonstration has been held in Poland to slam terrorism and racism.

Authorities said Sunday that around 300 demonstrators gathered in the center of the western city of Poznan, carrying banners that read "Muslims against terrorism" and "Stop racism."

The organizer of the rally, Youssef Chadid, the imam of the city, said, "We condemn all forms of terrorism and we express our solidarity with the French people and all victims of terrorist attacks around the world. So we are protesting today against terrorism and racism."

There are 38 million living in Poland with 98 percent of the population being Catholic Christians, while Muslims account for 15,000 to 25,000.

Recent polls indicate that many East Europeans have never met a Muslim and their knowledge is derived from media, which tends to unfairly link Muslims to terrorism.

Europe has been experiencing a spike in attacks on Muslims since the recent attacks in Paris.

Poland's new conservative government has taken a tough stance on Europe's refugee crisis in the wake of the deadly attacks.

According to Polish Foreign Minister Witold Waszczykowski, Europe needed to approach the Muslim community "in a different fashion", adding the population "hates this continent and wishes to destroy it."
