Based on the recommendation of the Task Force constituted for a Comprehensive National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP), it is proposed to enhance the quantum of pension under Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme (IGNDPS), to reduce the age of eligibility from existing 18 years to 0 year and also to reduce the disability percentage from existing 80% to 40%.
This information was given by the Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Shri Krishan Pal Gurjar in a written reply to a question in Lok Sabha here today.
